    Xbox 360 20GB HDD

I just took delivery of this beheamouth today and I noticed that despite the HDD being '20gb', I have started off with 11.5gb of hard disk space. It's meant to be a brand new machine from Shopto. The only preinstalled stuff that I can see are three demos totalling 2gb and another 410mb occupied by random other things. So, is it right that a 20gb hard drive should really only have 14gb opf free space when bought 'new'? Or, have I been duped?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

A good few GB is assigned to system functions like cashe. I think only about 13GB is usuable.

It's right, even though it's a 20 gig Harddrive it only gives you 13-14 gig to use.

The rest of it is used for Cache etc etc......basically it's a Microsoft product

Wasn't it that they were originally released in 4:3?

          I know Conkers was.

            Probably, yes.

If a game is in 4:3 it puts it in 16:9 with black borders either side, so it's the right ratio. Unless it's a widescreen game and you've selected 4:3 in the 360 settings?

Yeah u get a load of crappy pictures/adidas videos that u can remove if u want to, which should free up a bit of space.
