I got my new laptop about a month ago (An Alienware

Everytime I go to play a file on Windows Meida Player it says straight off the bat "Media Player has stopped working"
Plus, it won't let me watch files on my 360 through connect, even though it is connected (I can get the startup for Media Center okay, but then it all goes to hell)
