Changing my 360 username/gamertag

If I change it will I need to inform the dudes on my friends list or does it do so automatically?
Also am I going to have any other problems, like for instance when I sign into xbox.com?

The wife has a friend from the US that seems to change his tag every other month, it'll auto update it on you're friends list. Just wait for the msg's of "who are you" when you log on for the first time after it

You can just fire a message to all the peep's on your friends list saying what your changing it to, that'll save alot of questions from your friends.

I just tried to change my gamertag, then I find out its gonna cost me 800 points!!

Indeed, it's annoying enough trying to work out who that where/who that annoying new name on my friends list has appeared one every 2 months or so, but having them change at will. Erk

Agreed. I don't know who 25% of the name's on my list are anymore thanks to friends changing their gamertags.
