    Xbox 360 controller on Windows

I have just downloaded a game for my PC and it has the option to use a 360 controller.

Do i need a special type of windows compatable controller or will the wireless one that came with my 360 work?

If i can just use the standard wireless 360 pad then how do i go about getting it to work on my PC game?

To use the wireless pad, you need to buy the wireless receiver.

Wired pads work straight over USB.

They work really well in games that support the controller too!

Possibly silly question: can you use the play & charge kit? Doesn't that make it a wired controller?

No, and you need XP or vista for the wireless reciever to work.

You'd think so, but no unfortunately.
