    Best place to buy DVD-R's?

Im after good quality spindle DVDRs at reasonable rates. I recently bought 40 Red Datawrite discs for ?40 but think there would be better places online to order from.

They must have a protective film or laminate on the top surface, as opposed to the ones which scratch easily (el cheapo ones).

Not ordered any myself, but know someone who has.

I have used http://www.bigpockets.co.uk a couple of times before and they have been pretty cheap.

EDIT: not as cheap as the link above though!

Thanks, I just bought 50 x Datawrite red dvdr for ?41 after delivery. I called my local indie and for only 25 discs they were charging ?40, so I got twice as many for the same price )

Be warned cheap reds/bulkpaq are very easy to damage and degrade/damage quickly even when being stored, ive heard countless storys and from personnal experience. If your looking to store anything buy Verbatims for ?1.90 or Ritek Dyes for ?0.93-1.30 and burn at 1X whatever the rating of the disc.

I use a mixture of Datawrite 1X Ritek Dye (gold rimmed) and Datawrite 4X yellows.

OH and www.ukdvdr.org are very good, on a par with SVP in contention for the best and cheapest media retailer around.

I always use svp/blankdiscshop/121cdr..its the same place.

Very very good service, and they actually test the media they sell before they offer it for sale.

Go with Datawrite ones, too - Cheap, good, and they work on absolutely anything.

                          I keep seeing this:

Customers with 2x and 1x DVD writers are advised to check their hardware manufacturers website for firmware upgrades before using this media.
I've got a PowerBook and the superdrive on those are 1x, will the 4x DVD-R's still work?

Edit, never mind, I've just bought 25 yellow Datawrite DVD-R's from BlankDiscShop.
