Can't record to PC in 60hz. Possible?

Hello, I have a Ps2 and an Xbox and I would like to use some kind of capture card to record my games to PC. The one I had only worked in 50hz. Is there one that works for 60hz? I can't find any that will.

    Thanks

I'm not too knowledgable about Capture Cards, but I'm sure your limitation was the software you were using - the manufacturers software usually sucks. Try DScaler instead, you should be able to set anything you want with that.

No - you need a card that can specifically recognise a 60HZ signal. So far I haven't found one that can.

I'll look into that DScaler thing, thanks, but unless it can transform a 50hz signal into a 60hz one it probably won't help much.

Does anyone know if I can just import a card from an NTSC region? I'm not sure if true NTSC 60hz is the same as the PAL 60hz we use here.

      Cheers

Strange then, I've had 2 TV cards in my time, both have supported everything I throw at it, NTSC and all the different types of PAL. It's a Winfast TV2000 XP Expert, which is about 5 years now so there are surely better cards these days.

Are you absolutely sure? If so I will buy one.

If you choose 60hz mode on a game then save out it records perfectly?

A PAL PS2 outputs an NTSC colour signal for 60Hz games.
A PAL Xbox outputs a PAL60 colour signal for 60Hz games.

NTSC is very well supported with most capture cards. PAL60 is barely supported at all.

I've got a Pinnacle PCTV and that supports NTSC/PAL 50/60.

Edit: there's a list of DSCaler and NTSC/PAL supported cards here:

Usually the cards can do it just fine but are limited by drivers.

As Fahrenheit mentioned, PAL60 is usually still an issue though (except with DScaler).

                    Which card are you using?
