    Importing NTSC Wii...

    Hello,

I need to import a U.S. NTSC WII in Italy, but I really cannot find any shop offering me this possibled. videogames.ca does not seem to have any console in stock, and some of the Japanese websites have very high prices. Any suggestion will be very appreciated!

Worth keeping an eye on Videogamesplus. They were out of stock over the weekend but I managed to bag one when they listed a few on Monday night. They sold out sharpish though.

btw they were only selling them as a bundle with Mario Galaxy & SSX Blur.

My package was marked as a toy worth CDN $20 so if you order from them there's a good chance you won't have any import duty to pay if you can get one through them.

Edit: just noticed they have Wii's in stock again but with a different 2 (not so good) games:

Not sure how often they restock.....but they do seem to get more in fairly regularly.

They almost always ship orders within 24 hours, but if you order early enough it'll usually go the same day.

They send Wii's using DHL courier delivery. Mine arrived within 36-48 hours of it being picked up from VG+.

Hope you manage to get hold of one soon

Aaaah that would be awesome! Is DHL the default shipping option for the international buyers or did you contact them via their customer support first? This is actually a Christmas gift, so I will do anything to get it in time for Christmas. Too bad I did not have enough money before!

They send all hardware as DHL as standard. I've ordered 2 Wii's from them (one on launch, one about 2 weeks ago for my brother for Xmas) and they're both been sent via DHL, marked down to $20 so no tax.

Aaaaargh! I want to buy from them! If I keep on hitting the reload button I'll also have to buy a new mouse! Hehehe!

Shakey, I suppose they were as fast as with Tom Nook with you right? That would be awesome, I really want to give this gift for Christmas.

2 or 3 days, with online tracking. It was a mighty £40 shipping though, or just under. The £174 bundles ended up £216 I think.

'Strong' & 'Willed' are quite possibly the 2 words least likely to appear on my gravestone

Considering what I paid to import two PS2s back in the days, that does not worry me. Those first generation PS2s were so heavy.

                          Ok, back to check vg+.

Were sold out last I checked. They're a more reasonable price now, but still way over RRP.

They do have Japanese machines for a very reasonable £145 w/ free shipping though.
