Atomicplay PS2 to XBox joypad convertor - any good?

This afternoon, my mate tried to sell me a brand new "Atomicplay" PS2-Xbox joypad adapter for ?3. Due to me being skint after doing my Christmas prezzie-buying over the weekend, and the faint suspicion that these may have been doing the pound shop circuit, I declined but said I was "still interested" and would let him know later in the week.

I quite fancy the idea of using my PS2 pad on my XBrick , especially on retro compilations (due to me having an original XBox with the controller with the horrendous D-Pad), but what are these adapters like - do they have lag issues etc.???

Anyone know?

I have one for my xbox and used to use it for 3rd strike, my mate had another brand and his kept on making him jump in the air so the atomicplay was much better. I'm not usually a 3rd strike player, prefer the Kof's but I didn't notice any real lag issues and for only £3, I'd buy two off your mate if he had them.
