US SNES games on an SFC

just wanting to know what adaptor i would need to play US SNES games on my SFC?

Can't you just use a bridge adaptor without adding the extra cartridge when converting between SFC/US SNES? The Action Replay 2 or Honeybee jobs used to be pretty reliable.

I always thought you could just take the top of the machine off and / or hacksaw the cart slot open TBH.

Yep - the aboves correct - try getting a converter that has the full finger board (ie its got the two extra connectors either side of the main connector - like the cart at the top here)

I think any should work, i have a pal honeybee and another cheap looking one called a gamesmaster which i used on my SFC jr before i just got a US snes instead.

Not sure about the specifics of using a converter with SFX chip games tho, i think i heard you need a specific adapter for those games.

Thats one of the things the extra connectors deal with - the action replay 2 is a corker....

It's not only SFX games that need the extra pins on the board, but also games using custom chips like the SA-1.

Game that use them include Hoshi no Kirby 3(Kirbys Dreamland 3), Mega Man X, F1 Exhaust Heat 2 and many more.
