360 Hdmi

Guys,

i am going to buy an Arcade pack to replace my premium. I need the HDMI to run 1080P on my plasma as it will only accept 1080p through HDMI.

How do i get surround sound out of it?

Im currently using component cables and the optical output, but my amp doesn't have any HDMI input.

MS craftily made it so that the analogue cable (say the one with component and L/R audio) could not be plugged into the back of the 360 at the same time as the HDMI cable. The 'official' way to get optical sound is by purchasing an over-priced adaptor.
