HELP.. Wii internet connect..

Sorry to ask.. probably come across as a right twat.. BUT..

Just decicded to open up me wii, set it up, had a waggle at golf n tennis - then decided to set it up to the net for the usual update 'n' stuff ( VC games mostly )..and here's where help would be most appreciated...

ive got a cable modem with ntl, no router. and the only way i can see to connent the wii to the modem is via the usb cable i use for this very PC..

Went through the choose connection menu's and auto'd the lot as per the 360 and the ps3. click onto test connenction, and nothing..Not even blinkin lights on the modem to signify information is being transmitted. ive tried both usb conections on the back of the consle, but to no luck..

Could someone please point me in the right direction as what to do/buy (Doohh..) to get me up n running...

So you dont have a wireless connection, your only option would be to go and get the lan adapter for the wii.

And sort out some sort of hub / router, maybe change your modem.

Thanks alot for the reply Huxley... What a potch... my modem doesnt seem to be the problem, as im using it to reply, plus also use it for me 360 'n' ps3 which both work fine..( seperatly Via Ethernet ).. So ill have alook into the lan adapter dongle..

I've seen those official ninty adapters in every branch of gamestation I've been into in the last six months.

Really - thats a bit handy - i'm poppin into me local town 2 morrow to trade in a couple of games to get mario galaxy.. so will have a look'in on gamestation.. cheers 4 that...
