Yeah I did find that last Xmas. The illumination from the lights mounted on the room walls is fine, but the tree lights made the sensing go mad.

My Wii - is it knackered??

Right guys - as I said I have discovered it is BOTH of my Wiimotes that are knacked. Now I have been using a third part charger which connects to the back of the Wii with a USB connector. You sit your c ontroller in the cradle and it charges, all worked fine. But is it possible that this device could have somehow destroyed my Wiimotes? This is the only plausible explanation I can think of.

Sounds like it might of, I've read on a few other sites about peoples wiiremotes being killed by 3rd Party charging kits, seems a lot of them don't monitor the battery level, they just charge the battery for a set amount of time which might kill it after extended use. It's probably safer just to use a standard rechargable battery kit.Last edited by Phar; 21-12-2007, 09:56.

Arse biscuits.
Just sent Nintendo customer care chaps an email:
Hi there!
I have been having a problem with my Wii Remote controllers. It would appear that both of my remotes are broken. Neither one will work whatsoever; the lights at the bottom no longer illuminate, and there is no recognition between the console/sensor bar and the controller. I have tried several brands of batteries, but there is no response. I have tried rechargables, but the response was the same: nothing. This precludes any synching issue, as the lights don’t work, I cannot use the Wiimote to switch the console on, and there is nothing happening whatsoever.
I have also borrowed two other remotes from Wii-owning friends and one of their sensor bars; the problem is not with my sensor bar as both of their remotes worked fine with my console and with either sensor bar. I have followed every troubleshooting guide and had no success.
I purchased my Wii and separate remote from GAME Stores Ltd in Southampton. The receipt is in my possession but due to being in my wallet since the 8th December 2006 it has faded. The purchase can be confirmed by checking my Game customer reward card details. I also register my Nintendo products online; my email address in relation to my Nintendo account is ***********.
I would appreciate some assistance in this matter as soon as possible. If I have to return my remotes I am happy to drop them in personally as I live nearby (if this is in Hampshire as per the website).
I look forward to hearing from you.
