Cannot use shopping basket, log in or link reward card, etc at GAME.co.uk

I haven't used GAME.co.uk for years now because I cannot log in there. Up until now it hasn't been a problem because they've been over priced, but they are starting to get more competitive as the generation wares on.

Basically if I try to log in it just hangs. I then have to reload the front page and I am then logged in. If I try to link my reward card it hangs again, but this time, it is not linked when I return to my account.

In the past when I have tried to use the website, I have also had problems with it hanging whilst loading/editing my shopping basket to the extent that I've had to delete my cookies to empty the damn thing.

I have similar problems using any one of the computers on my network (ubuntu-linux, PC or MAC) and using all browsers, which makes me think that it is something to do with my router. I have tried contacting both the router manufacturer and GAME themselves in the past to address this issue, they have been unable to help.

    Thanks for any ideas.

You could be having problems with your DNS settings.

What ISP are you? I was having problems at the weekend with some sites and had to change DNS settings.

I use Pipex and now use Open DNS, too.

Might be due to a security option on the browser you're using (such as a high privacy setting for cookies, etc).

Are you using IE? Could you try the same sites in Firefox or vice-versa?

Would rul out a browser problem.

The only things I see under privacy in firefox preferences are:

            Accept cookies from sites (ticked)

Keep until: they expire (selected from drop down menu)

            There are no exceptions.

@Sofasurfer - as I said in my opening post, it happens in more than one browser. Namely: firefox (primary), konqueror and Safari.

Anyone know of any good computing forums that could answer router-related questions?
