    New 360 - old HDD

    Right, just remembered about this.

As i got a new Xbox 360 for xmas, i stuck my old hdd on it and attempted to play.

However, it told me the profiles were corrupt and it couldn't save over them when i attempted to recover the gamer tags.

So i deleted the gamer tags

then i successfully recovered my gamer tag. Except, i tried to play Test Drive and it told me the game was corrupt.

This happens on every save game, i have to delete the current save to create a new one. It just dawned on me i dont want to have to redo all dead rising or import tuner challenge.

Is there any way to fix this?

Can you try the HDD on another machine? Is it just game saves that won't work or everything (movies, music etc)? If you can't get anything to work the HDD might be b0rked.

Everything else works fine, its just the save games.

Im thinking it might be something to do with Microsoft cracking down on Save game cheats.

I recently bought a new core unit after my old premium died - put the premium hdd on the core unit with no issues - it booted and all looked like my old premium setup.

On a sort of related issue, I'm on my third 360 console but still my first HD. I've recovered my Gamertag fine, but it takes a while to list my Arcade games and demos as it connects to Live first. Is there any way of linking the HD to my console so it doesn't have to do this?
