XBox Media Centre Problem

Bit of a long shot, but thought it was worth an ask on here... I run a lot of my music on a (fairly recent) t3ch build of XBMC, and just recently after about 3 minutes into a song the track freezes for a split second, almost as though it's streaming and then hiccups for a second to load (of course, it's not streaming - it's playing direct from the mp3, but that's the best way i could describe it). Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this? It only happens on music, like i said always about 3 minutes in then is fine for the rest of the session
Am hoping it's not my HD on the blink (don't think there's a way to maintain an installed HD on an Xbox is there - defragging etc?).

Try increasing the music cache size in settings.
Are you playing the MP3 direct from the Xbox HD?
Perhaps the problem only started after a recent XBMC upgrade so you could either try the latest build or go back to the now ancient stable build just to eliminate your hardware.

Finally found the time to dl and try an up to date build and i still get exactly the same problem
Smouty- have tried upping the cache, and am playing the MP3s direct from the Xbox HD. I guess it must just be my HD on the way out, it's weird though cos i don't get this prob when playing video, from the HD, games or emus etc
Am gutted cos my modded Xbox really is still the main thing i use for all my music
