Shooting
Square = shoot.
Hold L1 then shoot = loop shot
Hold down Square THEN press R1 before you release the shot = more shollower loop shot, but with more pace.
Hold Square then while shot is charging, press X before the bar fully charges (when in opponants half) = shot feint.
Hold Circle then while charging, press X before the bar fully charges (can be done in both halves of the pitch) = shot feint.
Passing
Circle = long pass/lofted pass.
X = short pass/grounded pass.
Triangle = Through ball.
When crossing form the wings:
Circle = standard cross.
double tap circle = cross to the near post.
triple tap Circle = ground cross into the box.
Hold L1 then press Triangle = lofted through ball.
Right analog stick + direction = Manual pass. To do a manual pass now, you have to hold the stick in whichever direction you want, then click the analog stick down. A power bar will appear, and release the analog stick to perform the pass.
Hold R1 + press direction the player is facing = fast run and knock the ball further ahead. Press the direction as soon as the boot nearly touches the ball.
Hold R1 then press R2 when you are just about to change angle of run = same effect as the move above. Press R2 as soon as ball is about to touch the boot.
Running
Hold R1 and any direction = fast run.
Hold R2 and any direction = medium run.
Tactics
Hold L2 then press X/Square/Circle/Triangle = play your set tactics.
Hold L2 then press R1 or R2 = setting attack bias. R1 is more offensive/R2 is more defensive.
Tricks
Rotate right analog stick 360 degrees (although you can get away with 180 i think) = Zizou pirouette.
keep on tapping L1 = multiple step-overs.
keep on tapping R2 = one footed step-over.
When the ball is at chest height/mid-height, and about to come to you, press R1 as soon as it touches you to chest/first time control the ball up higher.
When the ball is Knee/Chest height press the opposite direction to which you are facing to flick the ball over your head.
Press R1 as you receive the ball, and the player lets the ball pass between their legs for a dummy.
For the following make sure you have the Double tap shot option on. It's default is OFF so go to the last option on the Controls setup and change to on. (Japanese for On looks like &y)...
- Square (pause) then Square, X = Double feint.
- Square (pause) then Square, Square, X = Triple feint
Dribbling
When dribbling, release the left analog stick/D-pad so the player slowly dribbles. Press and hold L1 then move the analog stick/D-pad again to enter a closer/tighter dribble.
When the player is dribbling, release the left analog stick/D-Pad, then press R1 = trapping the ball.
Hold L1 then press X (one-two pass) then press either X/Circle/Triangle for 3 variations of return ball. X = normal pass, Circle = lofted return pass, Triangle = through bal return pass.
Press R2 then direction 90 degrees left or right of the player = side shuffle.
Press 'back' direction while in side shuffle and you will do a back dribble. Any other direction will make you shift the ball that direction, then you will be back into normal dribbling.
Enter side shuffle and hold R1 then press opposite direction to the side shuffle to do another variation of a feint.

WE-SHOP: Details of what can be bought with the WEN currency after you've beaten the Cup tournaments have been revealed. They include:
1. BGM playback: A first in the WE series, you'll not be able to listen to music from the game. While I have to admit, the music in the game wasn't too appealing (except when they used We Will Rock You for WE6)...this is still a cool addition.
Cost: 100 WEN
2. Players: No details but I'm assuming players (classic, secret and others alike) can be bought here.
Cost: 150 WEN
3. Football type change: Where you can buy different types of football to play with. E.g. World cup football or the new Nike one...which ever! Shown in pics include Adidas and Tricolore.
Cost: 500 WEN
4. Free Training Stadium: When bought, players won't have to live with the quiet, serene training grounds they're used to. Instead, you can now choose to play in the stadiums!! Making for a more enjoyable training session. From pics it can be seen that there will be no crowds. But it still looks cool!
Cost: 500 WEN
5. Teams: I don't know how this fits in with the Players option above, but I'm guessing again, classic teams and so on can be bought in this section. Possibly even team updates for current teams, I don't know.
Cost: 1000 WEN
6. Edit parts: Additions to the edit feature. The usual like hair, accessories and facial features.
Cost: 1000 WEN
7. Speed up: Not for players, but for the whole game. I.e. your matches will be sped up making for a more exciting game.
Cost: 1000 Wen
8. Free player movement: In previous games you were not able to change the rosters for International Teams. When you've collected enough WEN to buy this option, you will be able to make World Cup championship teams for your country!!
