In the shop I work we havn't had any complaints on PS3 control pads yet, sixaxis or Dual Shocks, though we've only sold a few Dual Shock 3's so far. All the Dual Shocks (jap) we've stocked have come in the same sealed packaging the UK sixaxis came in. Out of intrest whats wrong with the pad ?

I have both a Sixaxis and a DS3 and both are fine.

My DS3 wasn't in a blister pack though

I sold a DS3 pad on the forums a month back and have a formate says that now he has issues with. All my pads ive imported from japan have the plastic box with the cardboard with DS3 sixaxis on the box with cellotape ove the bottom to stop the cardboard lipping the contents out.Ive only ever found issues with my pads if i have turned off with a direction held down on my original sixaxis pad but my DS3 seems fine(ceramic white)

            Hi guys,

Randella sold me a DS3 3 weeks back which I opened this weekend to use as I had just purchased some games which make use of the rumble. Upon using it, 50% of the time it is as if the down direction is pressed, making characters and objects in the game automatically move. Also noticed some wear marks on the bottom of the pad of where it would normally sit on a desk, so I have a feeling someone gave Randella a used duff pad boxed as "new" which has now turned upto me. The cellotape, espcially on the bottom of the box looks as if someone has put on themselves. All my sixaxis pads are fine but this is obviosuly duff. I am a long time member (see feedback) so I am not talking rubbish but the seller doesn't seem to want to sort it out.

one of my 3 sixaxis veers to the left too , its very odd, it only does it in warhawk but then started doing it in resistance too. it doesn't do it in the XMB though

Tried it on all my PS3 games even ones which don't support rumble, as well as some PS2 titles, and still veers downwards.

Can't say I've had any dodgy pad veering, but both boxes for my Duelshocks were sealed with sellotape that made it look like they'd been opened. Both pads looked and worked fine though, there were no visible scuffs / scratches or anything untoward.

My Spatialsense tells me it was an Ebay purchase wasn't it? I'm guessing it was and I'm guessing I know who the seller was.

Hi Spatial, I purchased it from Randella, not sure where he got it from, not fussed about the cellotape thing, but just the veering and then I noticed some very slight scuff on the bottom which looks like it may have been used by whoever sold it on to Randella.

Where was the pad originally purchased from randella?

Don't the pads come with a warranty anyway?

i bought one from randella, no probs it was new also,

to get the pads to work you have to connect them to a usb cable, for a 1st time charge i think, mine has worked a treat since,
