    Kikutan DS

Spotted these kikutan ds games over at play-asia.

Anyone know what exactly they are? I've been learning japanese for about 3 months now in uni as a side-course. Just wondering if these may be able to help me in any way?

    cheers.

    It's for learning English.

If you want help with your Japanese writing I'd recommend this, official page.

Though unless it's been a very intensive 3 months it might not be any use to you yet.

Thanks for the suggestion kryss. I only know the katakana and about half the hiragana characters atm tho. I'm quite slow at readin them aswell but i'm definitely gettin better. I've been mainly learning basic sentence structures and phrases atm. Would prefer something like that tho than trying to learn from kanji cards or something similar.

Does it tell you the english meaning for the kanji or would you need a dictionary for that? Just wondering as importaku mentioned that this was the method he used with the first edition.

You have to remember all the Japanese games are aimed at native Japanese speakers so there are no English definitions. It'll only teach you how to read and write the characters, not explain usage, etc.
