xb360 vf5 questions

wasn't really sure how to title this question...

basically wanna get xbox 360 simply for some online vf5 action... main thing is being able to play with some of the top japanese players online (as well as a couple of friends in japan)

basically wanna know what the best way of going about this is, i don't have an 360, so no idea how the live play works and whether having a pal copy would allow me to play with some japs, or whether i'd need a jap machine/game to do so.

Would preferably want a Jap/Us machine but to beable to play with people from all regions, dunno if the xbox allows you to do this or not.

Seems a little jibberish above but someone will hopefully see what i'm getting at.

There's no restriction on playing with people from other territories on Live. However, there's also no real way to choose (outside of Lost Planet and maybe a couple of other titles) games hosted by players in your own country, hence getting a game with decent ping.

If you're in the UK, I shudder to think what the latency would be like in VF5 playing against someone 5,000 miles away. It's bad enough in most FPSes.

I have had too many horrid games against Japanese people with a 5 second advantage over us in Halo, it is truly horrible.
