I don't know how CEX stay in business with the cash prices they give out - surely no-one buys stuff in there except with credit from trade-ins?

You'd be surprised. I've seen people give them ?20 for battered and stained 24 boxsets!

The prices of bad condition second hand stuff is most often more than I can find new. madness, but if I wanted to hawk anything for cash I'd go there.

Your not the only one, cash prices are fairily good - that is, if you can get cash. The CEX at TCR has gone rapidily down hill, not only do they never have any cash but it takes days for them to test the easiest product.
