I am going to get the official wii component cables at last.I was wondering if the audio / video cables are split enough to reach the TV and the av amp or will it require extensions for the audio.If so any make to avoid or are they basically all the same with no effect on the sound quality.

It's unlikely to be long enough unless the amp is right by the TV. But I use an extension.. quality loss is theoretically possible, but unlikely unless we're talking long runs. -
The amp is under the tv so no long runs.Didn't think the cables were long enough so just need to find some extensions.Comment

If memory serves, it actually comes in "siamese" style. So you can just slightly tear the joins to release as much as you need.Comment

The individual cables are only about 10 inches in length before they meet a box.
There's probably zero chance of them stretching to an amp, no matter how close it is.Comment

The component connections are close to the top of the tv so it wont fit without extensions.Comment
