360 Gamertag Recovery Problems (regarding PSU)

I just had a quick question regarding this.

First of all, on Phantasy Star Universe's Expansion there is an extra 250 acheivements points. Originally they didn't have the points added into the game (in a way) so basically it would say you unlocked the achievement but it would not add to your gamerscore. It acknowledges it when you go down to the boot game section and look at your score, but it's not added to your achievements list or your score.

Apparently it had been fixed recently where you can get the achievements where you can "Recover your gamertag" and these uncounted achievements will disappear and then you can redo the mission to get them and it's added to your score.

Now I have read that apparently recovering your GT can cause your saves to be unusable and also some gamerpoints going missing. Can anyone confirm that this does happen. I am in no way an achievement whore (well, not that much) but it's annoying for having something completed and it not counting. I don't want to risk my saves as I have lots of uncompleted games, or games that count on having those saves to have extra fighters in games, cars, etc.

Anyone had problems recovering your GT on the same console and losing everything?

I've recovered my GT a few times (on the same and different consoles) and never had any problems. The only time you would lose any achievements is if you obtained them offline and then tried recovering your GT before signing in to Live.

I had it once where it warned me about deleting my saves and when I went back to play a couple of games the saves were gone. I'd recovered prior to this and never had the problem before though. I've recovered my tag since then and it hasn't given me the warning, so perhaps they scrapped that idea.

Thanks for the info you guys, I'll finish Lost Odyssey first before doing this as I don't want to risk losing anything
