Who has a Samsung TV ?

Anyone around that has a Samsung TV ? Could you do me a favour and measure how far out the back the power cable protrudes ?

I'm looking at getting a LE26R88BD for the kitchen and want it as flush to the wall as possible - but there's no point me getting a 14mm clearance bracket if the power cable sticks out 20mm !

Also does anyone know if you can get a replacement power cable as i need to hack it up to pass it through the trunking, and don't really want to hack up the sealed one provided.

    Ta muchly.

    It's just a kettle lead.

Same here, and whilst it's quite a stumpy one which shouldn't interfere with wall mounting right angled ones are available.

Thanks guys, i know its a kettle lead, the one that comes with the set is a right angled one. What i want to know is how far it sticks out. The mounting brackets i'm looking at go as low as 14mm, and it's easy to see from the pic in that link that it'll stick out longer than that.

Mine (a LE32M51BX) has a regular power lead and sticks out aprox 40mm from the deepest part of the telly which isn't actually on the bracket mounting area but at the bottom rear of the set. With that in mind I wouldn't try wall mounting it less than say 50 - 60mm from the wall.

Oh and as for the power cable just chop it off by the plug then fit a new one afterwards, no one (except us!) will ever know.
