dual core upgrade?

Hi everyone,

I'm never after a cutting edge pc so I always tend to keep a few generations behind.

I've just bought an MSI K8N Neo2 motherboard and an ATI SApphire X1950 ro gfx card. However, I'm not sure which socket 939 CPU to go for;

My ambitions are to run MAME, the Orange Box and Pro Evo 2008 on high detail. Is it worth spend the extra money on the Winchester model?

Any thoughts?

The second processor you link to is single core, based on an old core design, and runs at a lower clockspeed than the 3600 for ?31. Personally I'd go for the first option

Trooper, this may be a little late now, but Overclockers have a very mixed reputation. I hope you have no troubles with them. (I haven't personally, but I've only bought from them about twice in the last 3 years... I usually go through Scan)
