Transfer of DS saves from a PC?

What hardware do I need to buy to be able to take saves between a PC and an official game cartridge?

Some guys at work are having a Mario Kart DS renaissance and I lost mine on the Bakerloo line ages ago now. After spending all that time unlocking a two star rating on each track I can't face coming back from scratch, hence the desire to get a save from the internet.

From my limited research i've encountered two types of save files, .dst and .duc. Does anyone have any experience in this area?

You need an action replay Max (gba/ds) it lets you use codes on gba games but lets you transfer saves to & from your ds games too.

those .dst .duc extensions are the files that the ar max uses

Datel no longer make them but you should be able to track them down.

Theres also a second device made by gametech in japan that works via usb it looks cool & easy to use but i have no idea yet as i havent been able to track one down.
