    Encoding Question/Software request

I'm looking for a nice simple solution to encoder some MPEG2 videos to WMV

The most important thing is that I can boost the volume before encoding. Anyone know of any software that allows this?

I know I can do it by demuxing and using external audio editing programs, but I'm trying to convert about 80 files and that will be too confusing

Windows Movie Maker surely can encode in WMV, but I doubt it's able to normalize audio, but you can give it a try, it's free for Windows users.
After Effects can surely do what you want, and with a render batch too, it's not excessively hard ti figure out what to do but probably you'll want something simpler...already tried with TMPGenc or Virtual Dub?

I've got it sorted using AC3 filter with Windows Media Encoder, thanks anyway

I don't think Windows Movie Maker has any volume options, other than to control the volume between 2 different tracks, which was a bit basic.

I didn't even think of using After effects! That's something I use pretty regularly too! doh
