List of worthwhile Mame games?

Clearly loads of Mame games are pants.
Is there a list anywhere of ones that are worth trying? I've tried loads buts there are so many, I'm probably missing out.

If not, then post your faves here and I'll compile a list.

Surely you know which arcade games you enjoy?

There is a top 100 here geared more towards older games:

For newer stuff most of the Neo Geo and CPS2 games are worth investigating, as well as the Psikyo/Raizing/Eighting shooters.

I'd also spend time with all the old Atari vector games, the Sega System 16 games, and the Namco System 1 games (Galaga 88!).

My favourite is Commando. Love that game. Brings back memories of rainy holidays in Skegness.

ESP rade
Gunwange
Strikers 1945 part 3
Outrun (of course!)
Metal Slug 3
R Type Leo
Rolling Thunder 1&2
DoDonPachi
The Fallen Angels (cracking 2d fighter)
Wardner
Wonderboy

Plus loads I can't remember right now, I have the latest complete romset on PC so that's like literally thousands of games, I keep finding undiscovered gems now and again.

Almost forget.....Elevator Action Returns - wicked game!

I gotta pimp this game, anyone who hasnt played this MUST play it
Unfortunately the only way is via arcade PCB or emulation, no console releases, I'd gladly hand over some of my hard-earned for this game. It is unbelievably beautiful

Vendetta - four player mayhem!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles/Simpsons - Konami greatness.

Must re-iterate Shinobi too - one of my major pocket money swallowers back in the day.... (sigh)....
