XboxLive Problem-Still not solved

Hey guys

I posted a few days ago that i kept getting this error message on my Xbox whenever i tried to connect to XboxLive:-

The DNS servers could not be reached. Check these possible options:

If your Xbox console is connected directly to your modem, verify the DNS Servers settings match the settings provided by your ISP.
If your Xbox console is connected to a router, verify the DNS Servers settings are set to automatic.

So at first i thought there was a problm with the server but there wasn't, then a freind told me that my IP had reset to 0.00.00.0, so i put in my IP adress again and still no luck.

This is a complete mystery to me, but i really want to solve the problem

Are you setting the xbox to automatic detection on all the settings?

try using dhcp if your bb connection supports it.

otherwise you will have to enter the ip address, gateway, and dns server details by hand.

All the IP and DNS information is set on automatic in my Xbox, but if i have to put it all in manually then how do i find the information.

I know my IP adress and Subnet Mask, but i know nothing else.
