PS2 Component Recommendations

Hey all,

Well I'm thinking it's about time I tried running my PS2 through Component to help free up a spare Scart Socket on the TV & just wondered if you have any recommendations for which cable I should get??

I've been looking at the Monster Component cable but it's still around the ?40 mark Is it really worth that much??

Are the official PS3 ones worth investigating or should I look elsewhere??

Official I reckon. Even the GAME one seems ok. I've never considered the Monster ones to be any better personally.

I use the game one, its fine not a quality build or sturdy looking, but it works fine. I think for piece of mind ill get the official one one day, just doesnt seem right otherwise. Sad but tru.

the best one is the official sony ps2 component lead, but its hard to find

Just pick up the ps3 component lead. Works fine, its what i use.

As i posted on Joe's wanted thread softuk.com are doing the official ps3 component cables for £7.99.



EDIT: Mine have turned up and they are the official component cables.Same as these.

I use the GAME one. The only problem being that the arse-quality anti-aliasing of the PS2 is way too noticeable..

I have an official component lead and also one of the cheap £2.99 (around that) ones from Play-Asia and to be honest I can't tell any difference between the two.
