    Nintendo Football Shirt Advice

I saw a article on the news the other night about the lowering prices of official replica football shirts. Anyway to cut short story even shorter i spotted a football shirt with the Nintendo logo across the middle and being the sad bastard that i am i would really love one of those. However since i know more about extreme ironing than i do about football i'm having a bit of trouble finding out which team the strip belonged to and don't really relish the idea of going into JB Sports or wherever and asking them if they know which shirt it is.

So does anyone here know what team it belongs to and if its not one that i will be able to pick up easily then some advice on where i might get one from would be helpful too.

    Ta.

I think the team which had Nintendo as the sponsor was Fiorentina but anybody else can correct me if i am wrong. Its a purple coloured shirt which i remember batistuta wearing. I think it was from a few years ago so you may have trouble finding it here in the UK especially as its an overseas team.

Sorry i cant help where to get from but at least thats a start. Id like to see Nintendo sponsor a big UK Premiership side to get the name everywhere

A mate of mine has a h0000ge catalogue with all the worlds' teams' strips in it for sale. If it still exists, it'll be in there. I'll ask him if he can find it for you, and let you know the results.

I think Fiorentina went tits up, and are in a really low division now or something like that. The console curse strikes again.

They did a Leeds. Basically spent more money than they had and were demoted 2 divisions by the Italian league as punishment. All their players left for free because they didn't pay any wages.
Nintendo isn't their shirt sponsor anymore.

HMV have a garish bright red t-shirt with the Nintendo logo slapped across the middle. I found it in the games section, not where the other t's usually are. I wouldn't be seen dead in it, because it's so damned bright and gaudy, but you might like it (that wasn't meant as an insult).

It's Fiorentina 98-99 your after, home is purple, away is white - might be worth emailing the folks at www.subside.co.uk to see if they can get hold of it.
