MKV to AVI converter for mac?

Anyone know of a good free one? If not, i'll just use it on my PC but would prefer to do it on my mac.

The only thing i can think of (i use XP), is FFmpegX, it should convert, with it using mencoder or ffmpeg....

Well its not free but tbh I would not use anything other than this:

It wont break the bank either, just make sure to get some extra codecs here and there and it does it faster than anything I have ever used, really user friendly too!!

Visual Hub is well worth the money for hassle free conversion.

FFMpegX is very good as well but I wouldn't use it for converting .mkv, avi etc to PAL DVD.
