King of Fighters 2002 for Dreamcast

Anyone have this game? and is playing it on a PAL Dremcast.

I had 2001 and Mark of the wolves but they played poorly due to slowdown. is it the same for 2002?

how were you booting them on your PAL DC?

A bootdisc called Utopia.

Last blade 2 works fine.

bwt...these are all originals jpn games not copys.

Utopia limits quite a few NTSC games to run at a forced 50hz mode which will give you the slowdown/timing problems and huuuge borders.

Try a proper boot disc like DC-X and the NTSC games will boot in 60hz without the slowdown/timing problems and borders, and yes it runs KOF2002 perfectly.

Throw away your Utopia disc mate.

I had the same problem with MotW and KOF2000 but with DC-X they both run in 60Hz.

or get the patch fixed version of utopia that allows forced 60hz and vga support.

or even better get the new homebrew boot disc : super game converter DC. no http for this yet but its in all the usual places.
