GB Player - play all region games?

I know the handheld GBA is region free, but will the Japanese GBA Player I've just bought play games from all regions? Or from Japan only?

I'm almost certain it play's all region GBA games on any region player - just like the handheld.

The GB Player is just the handheld hardware, bolted onto the GameCube.
If the GBA can do it, so can this.
If the GBA can't do it, this can't either.
