NTSC Wii, Smash Bros. Brawl DRE

    Hey guys,

I have a North American Wii here in the UK, and it turns out that I have one of those dodgy lenses that won't read SSBB. Now, NOA's current explanation of it being a dusty lense sounds like BS. Why? Because I had to send my system back all the way to the States last year due to disc drive problems. They replaced my drive for me, so I have a brand new drive that's only a few months old. Whatever though...now I have to get this fixed.

The thing is, last year when I sent out my system and got it back, I got charged customs and I really don't want to have to go through this again. I paid customs charges once when I imported the system, and then again when I got it back after it being fixed. I called up C+E, they sent me out a form...but it turns out that I was supposed to fill it in BEFORE I sent out my system and get the person who sends it back to me to go through a lot. Not to mention the form requires so much info (it seems) that I wasn't bothered to fill it in.

What I want to know is...is there somewhere in the UK I can send my system to, to get it fixed without invalidating my warranty?

    Thanks

Perhaps somewhere like Micromart could do it. It would invalidate the warranty, but if it is so much of a hassle/wait/cost to get a warranty repair does it really matter?

I'll fix it if you want. I've opened at least 10 broken wiis and repaired all of them.

      Stuck disc, DRE etc.

Thanks for the offer. I will likely send it abroad again to get fixed. I've sent a pissed of e-mail to NOA. Right now, I don't want to risk screwing it up - I have bought quite a bit of stuff from VC.

Just incase I change my mind, I'll let you know
