ps3 display problem

Hi I wonder if anyone can help?

I was faffing about with the settings on my PAL Ps3 this afternoon, and was messing about with the display settings, I changed them from 576i to 526p (I think) The problem being that I dont have a progressive scan telly only a basic tv with standard definition. So am now left with a screwed up picture which I cant make head nor tale of.

The Ps3 is running through an RGB cable, but owing to the messed up display, I can't see how to negotiate my way back to the correct setting to correct my mistake.
Does anyone have any ideas how to fix my problem, as at the moment the ps3 is a bit borked.

Managed to fix it, thankfully

When turing the machine on old the soft power button on the front for about 5 seconds it will reset the display settings and you can through configuration again.

Thats what I did, such a relief...thought I had ruined the poor old ps3
