Original Xbox discs able to break 360s?

    Hey,

This may be a stupid question but I'm concerned about my 360 DVD drive.

I recently picked up GTA San Andreas for the Xbox to try out before GTA 4. I popped it into my 360 to see if it would this morning and it booted and loaded the game fine.

However, when it was reading the disk the drive wents nuts and started making lots of clicking noises. It still worked though and went into the game.

I'm asking if this is normal? It never makes those noises for 360 games and I'm slightly concerned as it doesn't sound particularly healthy. Any advice?

    Cheers!

I wouldn't of thought so the disc media ain't any difference. Perhaps if the disc is scratched or something or if SA is a dual layer disc then it might cause it to make wacky noises

It's your laser trying to read the disc - the game comes on a single layered dvd disc - different from the usual double-layer 360 ones.

My 360 has issues similar to this with original xbox games, nothing to worry about unless its re-occurs regularly with standard 360 games Although the noise scares the crap out of me......
