Shadow of the Colussus and Prog Scan

The PAL version of SotC has a prog scan mode as well as 50 / 60hz modes. I know you can have a progressive scan picture in either mode but was wondering if there is / is likely to be any difference in performance between the two, bearing in mind one has to draw fewer frames per second?

Having said that, PAL is 576 lines rather than 480 so I'm thinking the extra lines / pixels would cancel out the drop in fps.

Then again, maybe there's no difference and I'm over-analysing waaaay too much

Your experience and / or input would be very much appreciated.

It's more likely to drop even more frames because it is rendering more pixels on screen in PAL.

Are you sure it has a 576p mode? I've never come across a game that does. They always are 480p 60hz

That's what I thought though I can't tell what res it's putting out as my TV doesn't say. I tried it in both 50 and 60hz anyway tonight and the only noticeable difference was that the audio track in the cutscenes was lagging very far behind the image, so I guess when you choose 50hz it slows the audio down but prog scan is always 60hz regardless, or some such.
