Possible to do partial payment with Paypal?

Sorry if the title's not too clear, I basicaly have £250 in my paypal account and want to buy a US 60Gb PS3 off ebay which will probably cost at least £300.

My question is will the £250 be drawn from my paypal account and the rest from my bank account if I try to pay out more than is in my paypal account? Or will it skip straight over to my bank account when it's shown I don't have enough funds in my paypal account?

Hope that makes sense I've been looking around for an answer but not had much luck.

Do you not have a credit card assigned to the account btw? Generally I've found it depends on how much you're trying to pay and what currency you are trying to use compared to the balances you have. I would expect all your account balance to be used and then the rest taken from elsewhere. It will tell you the breakdown before you hit send to pay anyhows.

It'll always use your paypal funds before it goes for your bank account

I don't unfortunately. Having it all shown in the breakdown makes sense, it shouldn't be a problem in that case.

Not true. On a couple of occasions I've had Paypal balance and gone to pay for something and it's only wanted to use my credit card. May be, as said above, due to how much I was trying to pay.
