gamecube "forgetting" settings

Lo guys weird thiung with my pal gc, it keeps forgetting the date and time normally i thought this was down to my 3rd party menory card but i bought a official ninty one and it does the same thing

does anyone know whats wrong with my gc?

If that problem occurs in computers, it's normally due to a flat internal battery... but I have no clue it it's a translatable issue, or even whether the GC has a battery or not.

If it is the problem, I'm sure one of the more GC intimate bods on here will be able to tell you how to change it...

yeah id think it would need a new battery if it had one, but i dont think it does so im unsure :S

I spilt cleaning liquid all thru my GC one day, and now have the same problem :-\

Yep there is an internal battery. Just hidden, to get to it you need to open the gamecube up. Then the contoller port panel can come off. And on the panel is the battery
