    XBOX: Vice City. Manual camera?

I feel bad about asking this but its really bugging me -I recently started playing the XBox version of Vice City. (Anyone who has played the PS2 version needs to know the XB version is miles smoother than the PS2 version, its not as blurry, and theres a better draw distance. This in itself just makes it a lot more playable). BUt I cannot work out how to move the camera around the car. There must be a way of doing this. You can look left/right/forward/backward by using the right analogue stick, but only in a fixed view. I'm sure you could look around in the PS2 version, though its been a few weeks since I last played it.
I have to say I'm a manual camera freak, and any game that doesn't let me move the camera manually always bugs me. Its slightly annoying that you can only look around in first person when you're on foot, I'd have liked a manual third-person camera too. Please tell me there's a manual camera for the in-car mode and I'll be happy.

    Thanks - Buzz

I always remember it being just the front back left and right views to choose from.

Nope - no manual camera - that was an 'innovation' limited to San Andreas and the Stories titles, thanks to manual aim. At least, I was playing SA earlier and I was able to do it, IIRC. Vice City and the other sequels also lost the top-down perspective from number III.

This has annoyed me every time I go back to the game. Its one of those things you don't realise how much you use and take for granted in other games.

aahhhhhhhhh! Goddamit! Ok thanks for the replies. You're right - its really annoying when you are used to it in other games. When I'm driving I keep wanting to look at things around me and I can't - well at least not properly. I know Vice City is a good game, but the amount of money spent on it.... well you'd think they could have implemented a manual camera. I wonder how much they spent on the soundtrack? (it is good though). Thanks again - Buzz
