    laptop touch pad query

I use one of those touch pads on my lap top and was wondering if you can get a special stylus/pen etc that would act the same as using a finger! Ordinary pens etc doent have the same pressure/sensitivity required to move the pointer on screen

    hope this makes sense!

Makes sense to me, son has a touch screen monitor for the PC at home, will try and dig out a couple of links and post them here in a minute.

Sorry, left this thread and forgot all about it, couldn't see much on the web, basically it's a soft tip pen - very similar to a felt tip pen that's run out of ink. Works great on the touch-screen - which still needs quite a bit of pressure to work properly - but may/may not work for you.

using a stylus may not work - depends on the touchpad. some (including Macs) use a system where your fingers complete a circuit and the pad gauges where you move your finger(s) - so inorganic material doesn't work - just to prevent accidental movement and damage.

unless you use a severed finger of course.
