Xbox Live: International Gamer Tags?

Hopefully nice and easy:

I'm off to the 'States for the next nine months, so was wondering if I would be able to use my UK Gamertag on some friendly yank's Xbox if the opportunity arises. Any ideas, or does my subscription only allow me to use it in Blighty?

You should be able to use it anywhere...

I would assume you just select 'Account Recovery' from the dash and then enter your details - make sure you've got the credit card you signed up with on you when you go.

Yes you can use it in the US. your best bet is to copy your account details on to an xbox memory card and take it with you.

I wouldn't think you need a memory card. I've transferred my account to a couple of other XBoxes (all UK admittedly) using Account Recovery.
