Any news on a PS2 price drop?

I currently have an NTSC-U PS2 and obviously miffed at missing out on Initial D, Psyvariar etc. etc.

My current quandry is either a second NTSC-J PS2 on the cheap (hassle with yet another stepdown, changing leads all the time etc.) or sell up the US one and get a Messiah 2 Pal PS2 (bloody expensive at the mo!)

So............in a roundabout sort of way I was wondering if there are any rumblings of a price cut on the Pal hardware hence making the chipped one cheaper?

Although I wouldnt be suprised if we saw a price drop before christmas, its all speculation

Your best bet might be to try to locate a mint 2nd hand messiahed unit, that would cut the cost down a little!!
