Samsung LCDs Confusion

Man, Samsung is doing my nut in!

I'm after an LCD telly for the bedroom and I've had my eye on a white Samsung in their 32" range.

However, a quick trip to Costco, PC World, Curry's and t'interweb has called up about 4 different versions of their 32" LCD tellies!

Does anybody know the differences between:
LE32S86BD
LE32M86BD
LE32M87BDX
LE32R87BD
LE32R88BD


I've seen:
LE32R87BDX/XEU for £446.48 at Costco
LE32R88BD for £499 at Curry's
LE32A556P for £799 at Curry's
LE32R88BD for £499 at PC World

How can one company sell so many different models of telly? This is insania?!

EDIT: I know these are all black. I think my best white option is the LE32R86WDX. I'm just wondering if the Costco one for £50 cheaper is a better one to go for.

I think Currys has an exclusive version which is identical as far as functionality goes but has a blue light under the speakers. My LE32 has the option to turn it on / off in the menus but doesn't have the light as it came from Comet.

R8 are HD Ready, so 1360 * 768 (don''t quote me on th eexact pixels)

M8 are full HD.

A556 are full HD and 100Hz processing

Not sure about the S models.

Can you turn off the blue light on an M87? I'm damned if I can find out how to do it.

All this HD Ready, True HD and HD Tramp modes are a bit silly. I think I can settle with something that's not crazy hi-res.

I think I'm going with the Samsung 32" LE32R86WDX/XEU (white) for £469 from play.com.

And a wall mounting from M-Form.

I made up the HD Tramp mode.

HD tramp is more real than you'd think. I saw an HD tramp outside of WH smiths like 5 minutes ago, he looked so real!

Don't buy one from Comet BTW, their after sales service (calling it customer service would be a joke) is hideous.

Serious UPDATE!:

I've just bagged myself a Samsung LE32A455C1D for £446.68 (inc VAT)!!!

Just popped into Costco to pick up some honeymoon photos and looked at the tellies with the wife to see if 32" is too big for the bedroom and despite being assured on Saturday by the (apathetic) staff member they weren't getting any white 32" Samsungs in, lo and behold, they'd just got some in stock tonight!

Not only that, but they're the brand new Series 4 range which are 10,000:1 instead of 8000:1 like the LE32R86WDX I was going to get from Play.com!

I'm not sure about the full specs as I'm not sure many shops are selling this yet, but I discovered the LE32A556P was going for £799 at Curry's.

Just flicking through the manual now to see how to get it to display in HD Tramp mode...

The A55 range is full 1080p as opposed to the 720p on the A45, I believe.

That would most likely explain the extra £200 or so added on. It's like that with all models and makes of TV's.

That's the beauty of it, it cost ?23.31 less than Play for the better, newer telly!

Plus included with that price is a 3 year Costco warranty. Which are pretty good for like-for-like swaps if you've a genuine problem.

Well happy. Now I have to sort out an aerial and stuff.
