    Canadian imports

Could someone enlighten me as to why some of my Canadian games are smothered in bilingual rubbish and others are fine?

I ask because I?m looking to import MGS 4 and GTA atm but don?t want all that French mumbo jumbo on the cover. Ideally I?d use VG+ again but I have no idea if Sony/Konami do the same with their Canadian releases as Nintendo.

Because there are parts of Canada that have a significant number of french-speaking people?

It's never really bothered me, personally. But I would think the above is the reason why.

If you are worried about having French writing on your games then you could always use Tronix. Shouldn't be that much more expensive.

Are they as good as VG+ when it comes to delivery times/marking things down etc??

I?m aware of that, I watch South Park.

I just don?t understand why it?s so sporadic across their releases.

Not too sure about marking things down. I haven't used them in a while but it may be worth emailing them and asking if they could.

As for delivery times they have always been really quick but you do pay more for delivery off of them.

Yup, they'll always mark down items for you. I always find their delivery to be quicker than vg+ and in some cases (ie Baroque) it works out cheaper to buy from Tronix.

re. Delivery, courier works out at only $4 more than using USPS mail, so if I know I'll be home for a couple of days after the release day then I'd pay the extra

My copy of Baroque turned up yesterday after being shipped last Thursday (USPS)

Most of Nintendo's first party titles are released automatically with bi or tri lingual inlays as de facto on the Wii anyhows; the manual inside is usually primarily English with a bit of any others. So it matters not if you order from Tronix (USA) or VG+ (Canada), you'll get something not solely in English anyhows. Which is partly why I've gone back to ordering from VG+ instead of Tronix. During the Cube days I went Tronix mostly because the Cube releases were English only or bilingual (from Nintendo and Capcom mostly).
