Is there anywhere that still modifies Gamecubes?

Just curious, as I wouldn't mind getting a qoob chip fitted - not only to avoid having to use a freeloader disc for imports, but also for its ability to force progressive scan on games that don't support it. Anyone know? Thanks

    Do-it-yourself.

Dead easy.... I managed to do it

This is true. I've just fitted one myslef (a Qoob SX) and it was very easy even for me (who's never fitted a modchip before).

The hardest part was upgrading the bios to the latest version. That was annoyingly tricky.

Alternatively, you could get a Wii, put the homebrew channel on it (no hardware modding required) then use GC Boot which lets you play any region.

This is true, but my Wii is in the living room hooked up to a SD television, where my missus and daughter can use it.

I modified my cube as I have it hooked up via VGA to a TFT and CRT for 480p goodness!

I use GC Boot and it seems to crash on every PAL game I try

PM me if you decide to get a Viper instead. No prog scan on that one though...
