    Gamecube memory cards

right , i don't know much at all about gamecube cards and saves , what is the recommended size to get , bearing in mind the only games i will probably play for a while will be rogue leader , ssbm , animal crossing and super monkey ball ?

also the animal crossing will proabably have 2 or 3 peoples saves on it , so what memory card will be best for me to get ?

    thanks for any advice

You can use the Animal Crossing memory card that comes with the game for up to four people, providing you don't mind living in the same town.

And for the rest of those games you'll just need a 59 block card, which I think are about ?15.

You can get a 251 for about ?15 online (Play.com is a good start) It's about 5 times as big as the memory card 59, and surely you'll want to future-proof yourself

Rather than buying a 59 now and realising in 6 months that you need another memory card

I've seen videos of the 251 cards being able to support game saves from all regions on the same card, can anybody verify this? If so then the 59 block ones truly are obseolete now.

That's a Freeloader related thing. So if you play a PAL game on a US cube and a Jap game on a US cube, it will save both on the same card. On problem comes when you change to a PAL or Jap cube (or whatever), you then cannot use the save games.

You can put 'all region' saves on one card using freeloader (they are all secretly saved in PAL format), but with a switched jap/us cube you need 2 seperate cards ft:

I know that all too well, I lost my Viewtiful Joe and Soul Calibur 2 (everything unlocked and completed) saves because they were created using a Freeloader...
