xbox 360 games list that use the hard drive

is there a list of games that use the hard drive for caching etc, as i was playing forza 2 yesterday on my core 360 and it seemed to load abit before bringing up the start race menu.

i guess that means i would be best adding a hard disc to my 360 then ?

if i bought a 20gig hard disc for my 360 would this improve the loading times and i'm wondering how long the 20gig space would last as the hard disc isn't good value for money, it should be around 50 or less for 20 gig.

do some games install some of the game to the hard disc, as that would take up space rather quickly.

is there many of you using the 120gig hard disc as is that worth the price or maybe i should hold off buying a hard disc and buy an elite 360 later ?

Forza does tend to load a bit. I have a 120 GB HDD and Forza's no faster than when I was using 20 GB. I can only think of a couple of games that need the HDD: Football Manager and Final Fantasy. There may be others but I don't think there are many. You also need a HDD for Crackdown if you want to play online.

arh so there is no improvement having a hard disc with forza 2, i did hear from somewhere that microsoft did say that not to depend on having a hard disc present on all 360s but i guess that people will buy the premium or elite more than core version, which i only got cause it was cheap at the time i got it.

i will check cex and gamestation to see if i can get a preowned 20 gig one for a good price.

Halo 3 uses the HDD a shed-load. If you continue a campaign game from the main menu it loads straight up as I think it caches it on the HDD. You only need to load if you choose a new level.

I don't think you can use some of the extra features without it either.

well thats a game i was going to buy, will have to wait then until i see the 20 or 120 gig hard disc on offer some where.

thanks for that i saw it earlier on xbox website and the few xbox games i have are compatible with 360 so i will buy a hard disc and pack my xbox away to make some space

There are talks that GTAIV will offer you the option to install some of it on the HDD.

Well yeah it's not like it's gonna use more than 20GB for cache, so it won't make a difference no matter how big the hard drive is. That's not the issue.
