    Wii UK PSU's

    Hey all,

My US Wii arrives this week from Dontlie & I just wondered if anyone could give me the direct contact number for Nintendo UK to order a new PAL PSU???

I'll be using my 300w 360 Stepdown until I can source a PAL unit but I think this may be overkill for the ickle 53w beasty

I've looked on Egay & there are people selling what I assume are fake PSU's for about ?9 delivered what are these like??
Do I take a chance or am I better off going with my gut feeling & buying a proper Ninty one??

    Ta in advance

    Neil

D00d you don't need to bother. Just because your stepdown is rated at 300W, doesn't mean that's what it puts out. That's just it's operational max that it *can* put out. FYI I use a 100w stepdown with my Wii and it still hasn't blown up the PSU yet

Oh it's ok I understand that I just wanted to try & stop the clutter of wires I have going to my Stepdown by replacing the Wii brick with a PAL one
But I'm in no real rush to change it so will have some fun & buy a couple more games before I spend the money on the new brick

I use one of those third-party efforts on the Amazon marketplace. I've not had a problem in the first six months; definitely preferable to a step-down.

On another note: apparenlty you no longer need to put an apostrophe after acronyms like PSU. Unless you live in America, in which case the old convention still holds.

Beware, I spent 30 mins listening to the on-hold music, before giving up.

Please let me know if have any more luck and what time of day you tried

Well we arent allowed to use the phones at work for personal calls so reckon my only window of oppurtunity will be between 1-2pm when I'm on lunch so I'm not holding out much hope either really

Will let you know how I get on though.
