    Second Hand TV's?

Im thinking of buying a *new* TV something in about a 28inch Widescreen. I can't afford new so im looking for second hand. Two questions really. One, should I go second ahnd and if not why not? Also where is the cheapest/best place to get one from? Is it eBay, Ex Rental stores or Bargin pages?

    Thanks alot.

Take a look at the clearance stuff on unbeatable.co.uk - often bargains on there

Could you afford rental or pay something like 25 pounds a month for 2 years for a decent TV

Might be another option for you to look.

for a measily ?45 a month you can get a 32" toshiba pf2, that'll do progressive scan and has a built in dolby digital amp, and comes with 5.1 speakers.

thats ?45 a month for 3 years from robbertsons.

i'd get a link but im lazy so if yer interested pm me and i'll go find it.

All above are good suggestions. I'd stay well clear of ex-rentals as they are often pretty knackered or have been left turned on in a shop window for hours on end (screen burn, shortened tube life etc.) also they are usually smoke yellowed if that bothers you.

As for the Bargain Pages you need to keep your wits about you. There are some genuine bargains to be had but there are also TV's from other peoples front room if you know what I mean.
I remember dealing with a bloke in Aston through the bargain pages about a second hand SNES back in the day which he had advertised for ?95 unboxed no tv cable etc etc. rung him up and he said he couldn't get one for a few days........................dodgy!
